Conference Program

The R&D Management Conference 2025 in Pisa presents a rich and stimulating scientific program, featuring an engaging mix of keynote speechesparallel sessionsspecial events, and networking opportunities across three central locations: SCUOLA, SEMINARIO and POLO-UNIPI.

The program begins with the Doctoral Symposium on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29, offering Ph.D. students a dedicated platform to present and discuss their research. A separate registration is required, and we warmly encourage all doctoral participants to also join the main conference.

The main conference opens on Monday, June 30, with institutional greetings followed by plenary sessions featuring distinguished speakers such as Maria Chiara Carrozza and Enrico Giovannini. Further plenaries and special sessions with representatives from institutions like the OECD, National Biodiversity Future Centre, and Imperial College will follow.

Social Program

We are excited to offer a rich and engaging social program as part of the R&D Management Conference 2025 in Pisa. These events are designed to foster networking and provide memorable experiences in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

Sunday

June 29th

Kick off the conference with a Welcome Aperitif starting at 6:00 PM at the newly renovated Scuola Sant’Anna facility in Piazza Santa Croce in Fossabanda, 11 β€” just a short walk from the city center. Registration and conference bags will be available here. The aperitif continues until around 10:00 PM.

Monday

June 30th

After the first day of sessions, enjoy a guided group visit to Piazza dei Miracoli, including the iconic Leaning Tower. The visit is followed by a dinner-aperitif in the square with stunning views of the monument.
Later, join us for the R&D ‘n’ Roll Party at Cinema Lumiere, from 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Since there are limited spots

Tuesday

July 1st

4 PM to 6 PM – A free guided visited to the local Botanic Garden will be organized in the
afternoon. The meeting point is in front of Sant’Anna’s main entrance. Sign up here on

Conclude the day with the Gala Dinner at PalaTodisco, a modern venue located about 5 km from Pisa. Buses will depart from 7:00 PM, with an aperitif starting at 7:30 PM and dinner at 8:30 PM. Music and dancing will follow. Return buses will run from 10:00 PM until approximately 1:45 AM.
